I’m currently working as a Social Media Content Assistant at Swansea University with 2.5 years of experience in higher education marketing. My content has achieved strong engagement and consistently high performance, contributing to a significant increase in the university’s Instagram following since I started last October.

 

I’m a musician, performing solo acoustic, duos, trios, and with full band. I’ve played at major local events such as the Swansea Fringe Festival and the Wales Airshow. I sing in English, Chinese, and Japanese.

 

I organise gigs and promote events, with hands-on experience in artist liaison, event management, and music marketing. I’ve taken part in the Young Promoters Network project facilitated by Beacons Cymru, where I successfully curated my own event and developed a deeper understanding of the live music scene.

 

I hold a First-Class Dual BA in Translation & Interpreting from Swansea University and Beijing International Studies University, having been awarded a fully funded government sponsorship. I’m fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and have studied Spanish and Japanese for several years.

 

I was born and raised in Beijing, China. Had one year living and studying experience in the United States before and moved to Swansea in 2022, graduated in 2023. Within just a year, I went from struggling with English to someone academically successful, deeply involved in the local music and art scene, built strong community connections, delivered creative projects, forged a new career path, and seamlessly landed a dream job after graduation.
